Location
In Gruven we have our mountain cabin with three apartments (Directions). It is beautifully situated on a south-west slope in the area Östra Färdkällan, located between Högfjällshotellet and Tandådalen’s eastern lifts. Slalom slopes, restaurants, pubs, bars, bistro, shops, ICA, swimming pool, cinema, ski rental and much more are within a kilometer of the cottage. On the other hand, the cross-country tracks start at the knots. In other words, it is not far to the outdoor life.
About the house and apartments in Gruven
Three apartments with 8 beds in a timber-framed cabin, beautifully located at the Eastern road source in Sälenfjällen, between Högfjällshotellet and Tandådalen. Each apartment has eight beds in four bedrooms/lofts and are equipped as above. In other words, convenience is within reach. Of course, the house is climate-smart heated with geothermal heating. The upper apartments (A and B) have two bedrooms with bunk beds as well as a bedroom and a sleeping loft with a double bed each. In addition, there is a large room with a fireplace to cozy up in. In addition to the cozy interior, the sun porch is in a southwest orientation. The size of the apartments is 75 square meters. Apartment A is pet-free.
The lower apartment (C) has two bedrooms with double beds and two rooms with bunk beds. Here, too, there is a large cozy room with dining area, fireplace, TV and kitchen. This patio is also south-west facing with good chances of sunshine. The apartment is 85 square meters.
Downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, nature walks and cycle paths near Gruven
Ski buses between the lift facilities run 150 meters from the house. On the other hand, the cross-country skiing tracks start right outside the door, about ten miles of track. If you want to participate in one of the various Vasaloppen, you should rent from us. It is usually booked with us, so be there in good time. Pre-book here. When it’s not ski season, there are fantastic mountain hiking trails, a species-rich mountain world to discover when the ground is bare. In addition, our accommodation is a perfect starting point if you want to participate in cykelvasan .
Family-friendly and child-friendly accommodation in Gruven
Östra färdkällan, where our cabin in Gruven is located, is very quiet and child-friendly and invites to sledding and snowman making for the little ones. On the other hand, Högfjällshotellet (the high mountain hotel) is a stone’s throw away if you are more amused by nightlife, après ski, restaurant food etc. Map to the house can be found here.
